WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure that uses a fine blade to place quality pigment into the surface of the skin. The effect very closely mimics the look and detail of actual brow hairs, creating a natural-looking brow . This procedure does not require a tattoo gun and is very different from a traditional tattoo in terms of procedure, longevity, color, detail, and overall look. Microblading is simply the best way to create natural-looking brows. Ideal for clients who have normal to dry skin. After a very careful and dedicated consultation; the right pigment, shape, and fullness of the brow is agreed and approved by you. Results last 1-3 years depending on proper aftercare. *MUST BE 18 YRS OLD*
WHY CHOOSE MICROBLADING
Eyebrow issues are common – the causes vary from eyebrows being over-tweezed, under-tweezed, medical conditions, injury or the natural aging process. If you’ve lost your eyebrows or have patchy hair growth you know first-hand how it affects your overall appearance and self-confidence. You also know how much time you spend drawing your brows in every day, and the insecure feeling you might get when you sweat or go swimming, that your brows will disappear. Achieving natural-looking eyebrows using makeup pencils and eyebrow powders is a challenge which is time consuming and has to be repeated many times a day. With microblading, your eyebrows will be professionally styled every day and stay that way!
WHAT ARE POWDER/OMBRE BROWS?
This procedure is for those who enjoy a darker, more bold, "makeup powder" looking eyebrow. We apply the pigment in a powder-like fashion using a machine micro-needle pen, creating an ombre (light to dark) makeup effect that lasts 1-3 years depending on proper aftercare. The beginning of the brow starts natural and subtle, and darkens throughout the end of the brows, giving that perfect light to dark look! After a very careful and dedicated consultation; the right pigment, shape, and fullness of the brow is agreed and approved by you. *MUST BE 18 YRS OLD*
WHY CHOOSE POWDER/OMBRE BROWS?
This technique is great for someone who has a full amount of hair, has their full shape, has to wax, tweeze and trim their brows more often; the hair they have is dense and not fine or sparse. They simply want to have their brows filled in with makeup and not have to fill them in every day and a guide for shaping. They have enough hair over the top of the ombré to add the texture, so they don't need the additional texture that microblading gives.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Both Microblading and Ombre fade over time, like a tattoo. They last 1-3 years depending on proper aftercare, which we will give you all the proper instructions on how to make sure they last the longest!
WILL I NEED DOWN TIME TO HEAL?
No, there is no need to take several days off from work. However, there are special aftercare instructions to follow up for premium results which we will provide to you.
DOES MICROBLADING/OMBRE/POWDER HURT?
Some would describe the discomfort like paper cuts to the area. Before and during the procedure, we use a topical anesthetic which will help reduce any discomfort. Everyone is different, some can handle discomfort really well, while others may be more sensitive.
CAN I DO THIS IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREAST FEEDING?
NO. We will not perform any cosmetic tattoo procedures while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is to ensure safety and peace of mind.
WHAT ARE YOU STERILIZATION/SANITATION PRACTICES?
All tools used during the procedure at 100% EO Gas Sterilized and are 100% disposable. We use new products on every single client, leaving no room for cross-contamination. Any surfaces in the surrounding area such as counter tops, lamps, carts, beds, etc. are wiped down prior and after procedure with medical grade disinfectants. Sharps are disposed of in the sharps container.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AND AFTER MY PROCEDURE?
In the first 3 days your brows are it's darkest and most swollen – so don't be alarmed this is normal!
1 to 2 weeks it starts to scab and pieces start fall.
2 to 4 weeks your brows are in its healing stage and has faded up to 70%, and you're thinking it didn't take well.
4 to 6 weeks your brows start to darken again and has faded up to 30% of the initial color. By this time you should have already made your 2nd session appointment for any refinements (if needed).
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED TO COMPLETE A BROW?
Results will vary from person to person depending on skin type and color used. It varies on the client’s skin (oily skin has the worst rentention), if aftercare was followed properly and other reasons. But it can take two (or three, which is rare) sessions to achieve your desired brow. It is less likely that a touch up will be required for a client that has fuller brows. Clients with little or no natural brow hairs, or have corrected work may need additional touchups.
HOW OFTEN ARE TOUCH-UPS NEEDED?
An annual touchup is highly recommended to maintain brow tattoos. It is ultimately up to the client to decide when it is time for a touchup. Oilier skin types will tend to fade quicker than drier skin types. Longterm aftercare is crucial to the longevity of your brow investment.
